John Edward Hawthorn

Hawthorn, John E. (Jack), age 79, of Middletown, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at his Residence. He was born July 19, 1938 in Springboro, OH to George and Edna (Johnson) Hawthorn. John was a dedicated member of Yankee Road First Church of God. He worked for Armco in production planning retiring in 1991 and was the owner of J & E Rootbeer Stand. John is survived by his wife of 20 years, Betty (Votaw) Hawthorn; his children, Jeff (Barb) Hawthorn, John (Kim) Hawthorn, Jane Hawthorn, Jackie (Ed) Roberson, and Jeri Dillon; step-children, Steve (Lynn) Crank, Annette (Kenneth) Townsend, and Robin Crank Glossinger; sister, Donna Jo Hart; brother, Cliff (Charolett) Hawthorn; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Barb Wilson. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave. Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, December 14, 2017 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Collins officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
