Antje Dorte Erika Thompson

Antje Dorte Erika Thompson, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2021. She was born to the late Wilhelm Meliss and Erika Anna Kracht on February 28, 1943 in Greifswald, Germany. Antje was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was the ultimate caregiver to the elderly and to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Antje enjoyed being a hairdresser as well as a stay at home mother to her children. She was active in her community and was a member of the American Legion Post #218 Womens Auxiliary. Antje is survived by her loving daughters Kim (Barry) Wells and Tara Estridge; grandchildren Lindsey Daugherty, Karissa Crawford, Jenny Johnson, Brittany Crawford, Jordan Holaway, David Wells, Logan Wells, Blake Wells, Cassidy Neal, Ariana Estridge, Everly Estridge as well as many great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Antje is also survived by her siblings Dieter, Bergit, Ingrid, Lola and Gertrud and many other family, friends and close neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R Thompson; parents; daughter Bergit Clark; siblings Dorte, Heike, Anna and granddaughter Mykah Ellen Wells. Private family services are in the care of Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home.
