Darrel "Big D" Montgomery

 Darrel Michael Montgomery “ Big D”  75, of Germantown, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton.  He was born on February 6, 1947 in Portsmouth Ohio to Walter and Virginia Montgomery. Darrel graduated from Monroe High School in 1965. He was honorably discharged from U. S. Air Force. "Big D" worked at Armco Steel (AK) for 36 years as a millwright and retired in 1999. Darrel was a member of the American Legion post # 165 in Miamisburg, Ohio, and a member of the Eagles Lodge in Germantown Ohio. Darrel is survived by his wife Wanda Montgomery of 47 years along with many other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his parents. Darrel was an avid golfer and spent a great deal of his time bird-watching and sipping Pepsi. He loved to travel with his family and enjoyed supporting his nieces and nephews at sporting events. He loved to  volunteer and help the community. Darrel also had a passion for cooking, especially for the holidays, he was fantastic host. Darrel was very loved and will be missed by many. Visitation at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home 1500 Manchester Avenue, Middletown 45042 is Monday, November 28, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Dan Flory officiating.
