Obituary

Dennis James Doss- June 13, 1952 – July 4, 2019, age 67, passed away on July 4, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Dennis James Doss passed from this life into the Arms of Jesus. Dennis was born on June 13, 1952, the son of Charles J. and Virginia Kathryn (Dickson) Doss. He was a 1970 graduate of East Clinton High School and a graduate of Miami – Jacobs College of Business. On September 3, 1971, he was married to his high school sweetheart, Vicki (Hughes) Doss and they enjoyed 47 wonderful years together. They were blessed with three children, Casi Doss Stewart of Monroe, Ohio, Chad (Jennifer) Doss of Oregonia and Scott (Ruth) Doss of Palm Coast, FL. The pride and joy of his life was also his eight beautiful grandchildren, Ryleigh Doss, Destiny Doss, Noah (Hannah) Doss, Hannah Grace Doss, Christian James Doss, Faith Doss, Hope Doss and Rebekah Frandy. Dennis was blessed with an entrepreneurial spirit and began several successful businesses during his lifetime including Sunburst Mobile Homes in Florida where they family resided for almost 18 years. He later retired as a sales manager from Lowe’s. Dennis enjoyed life and serving other. He was a caring generous and totally selfless individual. He love to attend his grandchildren’s sports events, his granddaughter’s theater productions and to hear his grandson preach. He was a marvelous cook and always cooked delicious meals for his family, including his famous Thanksgiving dinner. Family came first with Dennis and he never failed to show that in his life. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sisters, Donna (Ron) Ballinger and Carlene Doss, brother, Ricky (Penny) Doss, sister-in-laws, Barbara and Sharon Doss, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws and brothers, Mike, Russell and Ray Doss. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 5:00 pm at New Freedom Church, 840 Miller Rd., Lebanon, Ohio.
