Elsie L. Whitaker

Whitaker, Elsie L., 93 of Middletown passed away on Saturday, February 27th at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant. She was born on October 20, 1927 in Middletown, Ohio to Richard James & Sarah Jane (Brewer) Moore. Elsie worked for many years as a beautician for herself, owning and operating Elsie’s Beauty Shop. She attended Dixie Highway Christian Center. She is survived by her sons, Gene and Darryl (Marilyn) Whitaker; her daughter, Donna (Tony) Priest; her 6 grandchildren, Jason (Missy) Lawson, Donna (Mark) Mullins, Adam Whitaker, Cody Priest, Katy (Mattis) Brumbach and Nick (Tammy) Stidham; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Nora Combs and Mable Cheatham. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Whitaker; her daughter, Linda Lawson; her brother, Alfred Moore and sisters, Bertha Todd and Marie Snell. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 3rd from 11:00 -1:00 at the Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home 6850 Roosevelt Ave. with Funeral Services to follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dave Bowling officiating.
