Gerald Dean Stamper

Stamper, Gerald, age 92, of Middletown, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at his residence. He was born October 1, 1926 in Middletown, OH to James and Elsie (Bair) Stamper. He worked in transportation for Armco Steel for 30 years, retiring in 1988. Gerald was a member of Towne Blvd. Church of God. Gerald is survived by his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth (Brooks) Stamper; children, Jerry (Judy) Stamper, Glenn (Pam) Stamper; daughter-in-law, Koleta Ferguson; grandchildren, Kyle (Christy), Kristy, Kevin (Marie), Shawn, Matthew, Emily (Robby) and Laura; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Junis (Bud) Stephens; brother, Harold (Pauline) Stamper. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Roger Stamper; infant daughter, Karen Stamper; grandson, Justin Stamper; sister and husband, Ruth (Carmel) Mathis. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 10:00-12:00 pm at Towne Church, 3722 Towne Blvd., Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12:00 pm at the church with Pastor Mark Jackson officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
