James Perkins

Perkins, James N., age 88, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at University of Cincinnati Hospital. He was born May 21, 1929 in Middletown, OH to Claude Henry and Hattie (Perkins) Perkins. James served our country during the Korean War in the US Army with an honorable discharge in 1952. He worked in maintenance for Armco Steel for 36 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of American Legion #218, VFW Post #3809, Moose Lodge #501, Eagles #528. James is survived by his daughter, Vicki (James) Hill: grandchildren, Joseph Perkins, Jamie Perkins, and Samuel Hill. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Marie Perkins; son, James Perkins Jr.; grandson, Michael Combs and a brothers, Walter Perkins Jr, William Perkins, sister, Betty Sorrell. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005 with a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 am.
