James Charles Roberts

Roberts, James Charles, age 84, of Germantown, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at Wood Glen Alzheimer’s Community. He was born October 13, 1933 in Stanton, KY to Jessie and Mamie (Centers) Roberts. He served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean War with an honorable discharge. He was a beater engineer for Middletown Paperboard for 40 years, retiring in 1999. James was a member of Crestview Church of God. James is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth (Green) Roberts; children, Cindy (Tim) Williams of Germantown, Larry (Beverly) Roberts of Middletown, Teresa Hobbs of Germantown; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Dean Roberts, Jerry Lee Roberts; sister, Ruby Fay Ewen; sister-in-law, Phyllis Roberts. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Franklin Roberts; brother, Paul Edward Roberts; sister, Etta Mae Turner. Visitation will be held Monday, September 17, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. James Simpkins officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
