Sergent, James “David”, age 66, of Monroe, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born April 8, 1952 in Hamilton, OH to William and Elizabeth (McCoubrey) Sergent. He served our country in the National Guard with an honorable discharge. He was a truck driver for 46 years, retiring in 2017. David was a member of Eagles #3458. David is survived by his wife of 20 years, Barbara (Watts) Sergent; daughters, Annie (Scott) Riley of Middletown, Davida (David) Rotella of Liberty Township; step-children, Tara (Mike) Bowman of Middletown, Tommy Dezarn of Goshen, Mike Watts of Franklin; grandchildren, Anthony James, Athena Marie Rotella, Payton Bowman, Christian Bowman and Cayden Dezarn; 4 step-grandchildren; sister, Katherine (Jim) Johnson of Hamilton and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, William E. Sergent Jr.; sister, Drucilla Ann Sergent. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 6:00-8 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at funeral home with Pastor Chris King officiating. Interment will be at Hickory Flats Cemetery.
