Obituary

Joseph “Matt” Carter, 68 of Middletown, Ohio passed away June 9, 2021 at his home. He was born to Herbert D. and Thelma (Proctor) Carter in Middletown, Ohio living here all of his life. He graduated from Madison High School. Later he served in the U.S. Army with an honorable discharge in 1989. He earned the Army Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, Professional Development Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Expert Marksmanship Badge in .45 pistol as well as grenade, and Driver and Mechanic Badge Driver -T bar. He worked as a crew chief in the mobile equipment division of Armco for 34 years. He retired in 2006. Matt is survived by his wife; Wendy (Thomas) Carter of 35 years, his daughters; Sibyl (Alex Rogers) Carter, Kimberly (Vicki) Thomas, grandchildren; Brent and Bryce Thomas, and Lyla Rogers, brothers; David (Chris) Carter, Paul Carter, and Pete Carter, father; Herb (Martha) Carter, his dog; Anastasia, and cat; Moonie Too. He is preceded in death by his mother; Thelma and son; Che’ Carter. Matt is in the care of Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home.
