Larry May, age 71 of Franklin, Ohio passed away at Dayton VA Wednesday April 20, 2022. He was born May 20, 1950 to Leonard and Susan (Satterwhite) May in Seymour, Indiana. He was a veteran of both the U.S. Army (82nd Airborne) and the U.S. Marine Corp. But, as all Marine’s know, once a Marine, always a Marine. He served honorably during the Vietnam War. He earned several medals including Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 stars, Parachute Badge, Expert Infantry Badge and National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged after nine years of exemplary service. He worked in the warehouse at Mitsubishi until he retired. Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rita Sorrell May; daughter, Denise (Bob) Brown; son, Jeffery (Melissa) May; grandson, Joey Brown; and brother, Ben Egleston. He is preceded in death by his father and sister; Diana Dougherty. Visitation will take place at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown 45005 on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 5:00 p.m. Donations can be made in Larry’s honor at American Cancer Society 540 Cooper Rd.
