Larry Wayne Sword, age 72, of Franklin passed away on Sunday May 30, 2021 at Hillsprings Rehab in Springboro, Ohio. He was born July 26, 1948 to the late Carl and Helen (Barger) Sword. He graduated from Middletown High School going on to serve in the U. S. Army with an honorable discharge in 1976. He earned the Good Conduct Medal, Driver and Mechanic Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expedition Medal, Larry worked as a parts manager at Buchanan’s and Lebanon Farm Implements. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Christa (Smith) Sword; two sons, Chris (Katie) Sword and Bill (Tara) Sword; grandchildren, Annabelle Sword, Caroline Sword, Jackson Sword, and Lincoln Sword; and his grand-dog, Brutus Wayne Sword; brothers, Curt (Anna) Sword, Dan (Pam) Sword, and Joe (Tammy) Sword; sister, Ann (Kenny) Whisman. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Louis Sword. Visitation will be Monday, June 7, 2021 at Baker –Stevens – Parramore Funeral Home 6850 Roosevelt Avenue Middletown, Ohio 45005 beginning at 12:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Service will be officiated by Steve Elkins. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at Spring Hill Church of Christ Fellowship Hall following interment, 2021 Brell Dr. Middletown 45042.
