Wilkins, Lineta Hegner, 92
Lineta passed away peacefully at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant Village on Friday June 15, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 21, 1925 to Bess Hegner Card and Fred Milburn Hegner. She was predeceased by her parents, husband James Clarence Wilkins and son Frederick James Wilkins. Survivors include daughter Fran Amburgey (Chris), grandchildren Kurt Amburgey and Kristen Amburgey, of Middletown and Kathryn (Rodney) Gray of Colorado Springs and two great-grandchildren, Lilly and Charlie Gray. Lineta was a proud graduate of Walnut Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati. She placed great value upon education and retired, a teacher of Middletown City Schools. She continued as a tutor in adult education and was selected as Volunteer of The Year in 1997. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she enjoyed pipe organ music while singing numerous years in the choir. She enjoyed her acknowledged volunteer work at Mt. Pleasant and many activities there to include playing bridge. Her family wishes to express its' appreciation to the staff for their love and exceptional care the past few months. They suggest in lieu of flowers, a contribution to your favorite charity. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 7th at 3 PM in the Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe, Ohio.
