Lora Rose

Rose, Lora, age 59, of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 9, 2020. She was born July 28, 1960 in Norton, VA to Monroe and Patsy (Taulbee) Brown. She had been a loyal employee at Hunter Safe Care at Hope United Methodist Church for 28 years. Lora was also a member of the church. Lora is survived by her children, Allen (Davena Powell) Rose of Franklin, Michele (Adam) Hughes of Middletown; grandchildren, Brock and Brittany Gerard, Dakota, Cheyenne, Caiden, Savannah, and Noah Rose, Hailey and Hannah Hughes; great-granddaughter, Paisley Rose; mother, Patsy Brown of KY; sisters, Teresa Perkins of Middletown, Rosemary (Roger) Moore of Somerville; brother, Ambers (Pam) Brown of KY; and a host of friends and family. She is preceded in death by her father; husband, Allan Rose; brother, Robert “Moe” Brown; and niece, Rebecca Perkins. Lora was a 1979 graduate of Lemon-Monroe High School. Lora had a heart of gold. She would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed making crafts with all of the children in her life and collecting angels, red trucks and Willow Tree figures. Lora loved the holidays and spending time with her loved ones. Sometimes described as a “big kid” herself, Lora enjoyed entertaining children and her love for them was endless. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 13, 2020 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Delisa McIntosh and Sung Wha (Noah) Park officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Hope United Methodist Church in Lora’s honor.
