Betty Jane Carroll

Betty Jane Carroll (Conner), 90, of Fort Valley, VA formerly of Middletown, OH passed away Thursday, March 9th at Winchester Medical Center. Born in Middletown, Ohio on January 2, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Nellie Helen (Tucker) Conner and Clarence Edward Carroll.  Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Carroll; son, Thomas Frederick Carroll and sisters, Doris and Patricia Conner. Betty was a dedicated member of the Oak Level United Methodist Church and the local Senior Citizens Organization in Fort Valley, VA.  She enjoyed working in her flower beds, going to bingo and spending time with family. Betty is survived by her children, Scott T. Carroll and his wife Evelyn of Roanoke, VA, Jerry L. Carroll and his wife Mary of Springfield, VA, Deborah E. Smith and her husband Don of Woodbridge, VA, and Mark C. Carroll and his wife Lori of Fort Valley, VA; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Clarice Spicer of Middletown, OH. Funeral services will be held at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave. Middletown, OH  at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 17, 2017.  Jerry Minor Officiating.  Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
