Singleton Jr., James Nelson, age 89 of Brooksville, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 20, 2017. He was born July 27, 1927 in Miamisburg, OH to parents, James Singleton Sr. and Cordie Hampton Singleton. James was a dedicated member beginning in 1959 of Grand Avenue First Church of God and later for many years of Poasttown First Church of God where he was a board member, Sunday school superintendent, and lay minister. He was a truck driver for 43 ½ years at Jefferson Smurfit. James is survived by his children, John David Singleton, Susan (Carlie) Good both of Middletown, OH, and Carole (Randy) Moore of Brooksville, FL ; grandchildren, Mark (Heather) Mann, Laurie (Nick) Camilleri, Johnna Cope, Christopher (Samantha) Singleton, and April Kirmse; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; special friend Peggy Jensen, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Nancy A. Singleton; son, James Lawrence (Larry) Singleton; granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Mann Hayes; brothers, Earl and Bill Singleton, and sister, Dorothy Morrison. Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be Tuesday, February 28, 2017, 12:00 PM at the funeral home, with Randy Moore officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
